Yard & Quarter
On the park side of coastal Hastings, Yard & Quarter offers precision cuts, curl-focused hairdressing and organic colour services. Its salon is presented as a welcoming place to pause and unwind, with appointments priced by hair length rather than gender. The team brings decades of international hairdressing experience and says it approaches each service with consideration and care. Sustainability is part of the salon’s approach: Yard & Quarter describes its commitment to circular design and says it partners with brands and suppliers that share that focus. Alongside salon services, it offers selected haircare products through its online shop. The result is a Hastings salon combining thoughtful, inclusive appointments with a stated interest in responsible choices for people and the planet.

Questions before you claim a plot?
Business advertising FAQs.
Do I need a high-street shop or office?
No. You can advertise if you are a shop, café, office-based business, mobile service, local trade, online retailer or work from home. Your business simply needs to be based in, or genuinely serve customers in, Hastings.
What do I need before I create my listing?
You will need a business logo, an active social-media page and a Google Business Profile with customer reviews. You will also need accurate contact details and suitable photographs to make your profile useful and trustworthy.
Do I need a website?
No. A website is recommended, but it is not required. Customers can still contact you through your phone number and social pages. If you have a website, your profile can send customers directly to it.
Why do I need a Google Business Profile?
Your Google Business Profile link allows Town Square to match the correct business and display its Google rating and reviews. Service-area and home-based businesses can use a Google Business Profile without publicly displaying a home address.
What is included with my plot?
Your numbered position includes a business profile on Hastings Town Square for a full year, with your story, photographs, reviews, website, phone, directions and social links wherever they apply.
Can I update my business profile?
Yes. You can manage your listing and update your details, photographs, video and links whenever your business changes.
Who’s Behind Town Square Sussex?
Sussex is full of brilliant local businesses, but let’s be honest, half the time you only hear about them when somebody says, “You should try that place…”
Or you’re looking for a trade and you rely on word of mouth or Facebook community posts.
We’ve built Town Square Sussex to make brilliant local businesses easier to find, easier to support and far harder to lose, because our towns simply wouldn’t be the same without them.
Town Square Sussex was created by Amir & Katy, founders of The Marketing Guy N.I, based in Co. Armagh.
No big corporate B.S. Just local people helping local businesses get seen, one town at a time.
