Greyskull Coffee Hastings

Greyskull is a tucked-away Hastings gastro caff pairing speciality coffee with brunch and lunch. The menu includes home-cured and smoked bacon made with locally reared rare-breed pork, cakes baked in the café and a short, changing selection of caff favourites. Find it in St Andrew’s Mews, where the owners have built a food-and-coffee spot that also hosts events and markets. Husbands Sean and Daniel had talked about opening a coffee shop by the sea for years. After nine years living on a narrowboat, they moved to Hastings, started with a coffee machine and outdoor-kitchen pop-ups, and opened Greyskull in summer 2025. Their idea has grown into a place for serious coffee and ambitious food with the relaxed spirit of a British caff. The owners also describe how meaningful it has been to welcome and support the queer community, while making the café a place for everyone.
