Penfolds Family Butchers
MJ Penfold is a family butcher at The Ridgeway in Chichester, supplying meat, poultry and seasonal game. The business says it was established by Malcolm Penfold in 1971, and its approach combines traditional butchery skills with practical help for customers choosing cuts, preparation and cooking. The shop describes buying from small specialist producers and farmers who raise free-range animals in traditional ways. Its range includes handmade sausages, lamb chops and Italian meatballs, alongside seasonal game sourced from West Dean and other local estates. Sausages are made in-house with herbs and spices, and the team can prepare meat or poultry to a customer’s specification. The business also offers local delivery, with orders prepared fresh on the day of delivery.
