Wow And Flutter
Wow And Flutter is a Hastings shop for secondhand books, records and comics, with art and drinks alongside its changing stock. Based at 8 Trinity Street in the America Ground, it also sells coffee, tea and cold drinks, and hosts occasional in-store events and exhibitions. Tim and Susan set up the shop in 2014, drawing on a shared love of music and art and a long-standing interest in collecting. Both had worked in creative-sector roles before moving to Hastings to make the idea a reality. The name nods to a favourite Stereolab song and to variations in the playback speed of rotary audio devices—a personal reference that reflects the shop’s mix of music and collecting. New stock arrives every week.
