Poppyseed bakery

Poppyseed is an East Sussex artisan bakery with shops in Eastbourne and Bexhill, baking breads, cakes and treats for customers and wholesale orders. Its range includes sourdough and sweet bakes such as apple crunch muffins; customers can order for delivery or arrange collection. The bakery says it opened in December 2016, thirteen years after Lee and Kirsty opened their first shop, Bexhill Farm Kitchen. Baking experience is central to the story: Lee began as an apprentice in 1984, then worked as Head Baker at The Dorchester Hotel, Sally Clarke Bakery and Victoria Park Plaza in London. Poppyseed describes its approach as centred on experience, ingredients and flavour.
