Nelson Coffee - The Roastery (Eastbourne Café )
Nelson Coffee brings together a town-centre café and an Eastbourne roasting operation. Its café serves specialty coffee alongside brunch plates and bakes, while its beans are also supplied to wholesale customers and home brewers. The team describes its focus as “Thoughtfully sourced coffees, roasted to show each one at its best.” The story began when a visit to a specialty coffee shop in Nelson, British Columbia, sparked the co-founders’ interest in coffee. After learning about the specialty coffee trade, they opened their first Eastbourne café in 2014. In 2020, they began roasting their own coffee locally, building on the café with a roastery and coffee for customers to enjoy at home. As the business puts it, “Roasting all our coffee beans in the Eastbourne Roastery”.
