Dave Brown & Son Butchers
Dave Brown’s connection with the North Road butcher’s shop began in 1971. After becoming manager, he took over the premises in 1991 and established Dave Brown & Son, keeping the business in local family hands. His son Stuart started as a fourteen-year-old Saturday boy, learned the trade alongside his father and went on to work there full-time. Today the Lancing shop supplies both households and trade customers. Alongside fresh meat, its range includes homemade sausages and burgers, cooked chickens, pies and deli produce. The business has developed its catering and delivery services over the years while retaining its roots at 30 North Road.
